 Mr. Steven R. D’Cunha graduated in 1975 from Agnel Junior Technical College, Bandra Bandstand, Mumbai-India with Diploma in Production Engineering, C.W. I. (Certified Welding Inspector) from AWS in1996 and D.I.E.M (Diploma in Import and Export Management) 2010. His main strengths are Production/Manufacturing techniques, Welding processes/techniques confirming to AWS D1.1 and ASME standards related to Pressure Vessels both coded and non-coded and detailing of Machine, fixture and tooling design for all production processes.
Prior to joining Zamil Steel Vietnam in September 2011, he worked in India running his trading business for 3 years, worked for ZSV in 2006-2008 in the capacity of Plant Manager and has over 20 years experience in pre-engineered steel building systems worked for Kirby Building Systems Kuwait in various capacity starting from QC 1977 to 1979, Shop foreman 1980 to 1983, Works Engineering Superintendent 1983 to 1986, Project Manager 1991 to 2001 was instrumental in all activities of Kirby Building System India first plant in Hyderabad. Apart from this he has exposure and training from Stall Crane manufacturing facility of Germany and also extensive exposure to the manufacturing of Foam Sandwich panels and Moving/roll-up doors manufacture facilities. Other achievements were putting Kirby Kuwait back in business after the Gulf war making equipments from scrap and damaged machines, also was key instrument in the Maintenance Department and equipment sourcing exercise.
In his present post of Operations Manager in Operations at Dongnai, Mr. D’Cunha undertakes responsibilities of Manufacturing, Production/Material Control, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance and Shipping activities. His exposure to Safety is related to production and an important player to enforce SAFETY FIRST in the facility.
