Yamaha started construction of their plant with an invested capital of more than US$43 million, located on 15 hectares of land in Noi Bai Industrial Zone, Hanoi, to continue to meet the increasing demand for motorcycles in the country. Design of the building is nearly 41,000m2 and utilizes Zamil Steel’s ultimate standing seam roof system – MaxSEAM.
Meanwhile, Honda Vietnam’s second factory is located in Vinh Phuc Province with a plant area of 40,000m2 . It also uses MaxSEAM, now recognized as one of the strongest and most weather-tight standing seam roof systems by our valued customers.
Both projects are scheduled to be operational by the third quarter of 2008 to begin mass production with initial production capacity of more than 500,000 units for Honda and 250,000 units for Yamaha per year respectively.
Securing these contracts serves as an important milestone for ZSV as we have been successful in satisfying the stringent requirements of Japanese clients to be their premier choice in Vietnam and the region. This achievement reinforces ZSV’s experience, know-how and capabilities to offer effective buildings solutions to Yamaha and Honda.
“We are honored to be awarded these two prestigious projects. We always strive to satisfy our clients right from the design, fabrication, supply until final erection in terms of quality and delivery schedules”, said Mr. Vu Le Giang, Regional Manager (North Vietnam) of ZSV.
