“Winning the Golden Dragon Award 5 years in a row is a great achievement for us, especially in the year 2007, when ZSV celebrated our 10 years of growth and excellence in Vietnam”, said Mr. George E. Kobrossy, ZSV’s General Director at the ceremony.
2007 was a successful year for ZSV. Its total production output increased more than 25% compared to the previous year. Many prestigious projects have been manufactured and supplied throughout Vietnam, such as the second factories of Yamaha and Honda in Vietnam, Foxconn Factory in Que Vo - Bac Ninh, Uniden Vietnam Factory in Hai Duong, Texhong Vietnam Factory in NhonTrach 2 - Dong Nai, to name a few.
In addition to the achievements on the domestic front, ZSV’s export market also saw a huge expansion. In 2007, ZSV secured contracts to supply a 40,000 s.q.m Air-show Exhibition Center in Singapore, Hypermarket in Myanmar, Crown Warehouse in Cambodia and many other major projects. Currently, the company’s export market makes up around 50% of its total output and has considerably contributed to the business.
In the year to come, ZSV plans to forge ahead to further expand its production and exports. Production capacity is expected to increase this year, when its second manufacturing facility in Dong Nai becomes operational.
“We strongly believe that the Golden Dragon Award plays a vital role in motivating enterprises in Vietnam to improve the quality of products and services, overall improving the image and brand name of “Made in Vietnam” products. This will benefit the Vietnamese market and economy in the long run”, noted Mr. Kobrossy after the awards.
The Golden Dragon Award, now in its 7th year, is an annual award for top foreign direct invested businesses and initiated by the Vietnam Economic Times. Besides honoring these firms for their achievements in Vietnam, the award also encourages them to boost operation and expand their businesses in Vietnam.
