HCMC, 12 December, 2008 - Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV) was conferred The Saigon Times Top 40 Award 2008 for being one of the top 10 most prominent FDI enterprises in Dong Nai Province.
The Saigon Times Top 40 Annual Award is jointly organized by The Saigon Times Group and the Department of Planning and Investment of 4 Southern Provinces including HCMC, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau & Binh Duong, since 2003. The theme for this year award is “For a Sustainable Development”.
“Receiving The Saigon Times Top 40 Award 2008 is an encouraging achievement for us, especially in 2008, we inaugurated our second factory in Dong Nai Province, with the capacity of 40,000MT Pre-engineered buildings per year”, said Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong, ZSV’s Regional Manager, at the Ceremony.
Against the backdrop of the global financial crisis, 2008 is still a successful year for ZSV. Its total production output has increased compared to the previous year. With second Factory in Amata Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province, ZSV has doubled its total production capacity, and also diversify its products with addition of two new production lines, one for Structural Steel and the other for Open Web Steel Joist.
“We strongly believe that The Saigon Times Top 40 Award is a decent Award and it plays a vital role in motivating enterprises in Southern Vietnam to improve the quality of products and services, and to contribute to development of the community, and the sustainable development in general. This will benefit the Vietnamese market and economy in the long run”, noted Mr. Minh Phuong, after the Award.
By December 2008, ZSV was also ranked as the 381st among VNR500 largest enterprises in Vietnam 2008. This list is consolidated and announced by Vietnam Net, the most famous electronic Newspaper in Vietnam. The list is the result of the independent, objective and professional evaluation by Vietnam Report with the advisory board of many professors, experts, and especially Professor John Quelch from the Harvard Business School, USA. |
