Hanoi, 10 January, 2009 - Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV) was conferred The Golden Dragon Award 2008 for being one of the top 80 most distinguished FDI enterprises in Vietnam.
Jointly organized by the Vietnam Economic Times and Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Golden Dragon Award is reputed as the most prestigious domestic Award, recognizing the top foreign investment firms in Vietnam since 2001.
 “We are very delighted to capture this Award for 6 consecutive years and this is an evidence for our excellence in producing quality products and services. This is also the recognition of Vietnamese Government to our long term commitment and involvement in the development of Vietnam economy”, said Mr. George Kobrossy, General Director of Zamil Steel Vietnam, at the Ceremony.
With more than 10 years operating in Vietnam, Zamil Steel Vietnam has survived through the expansion as well as the contraction cycle of the economy. While 2008 has been a turbulent year for all sectors, either regional or world-wide, it has been a very successful year for Zamil Steel Vietnam. The total output capacity has increased in comparison with the previous year. Besides that, the second Factory in Dong Nai Province has been inaugurated and other social responsibilities such as employees’ salary, social insurance has also been improved.
“We look forward to 2009 although it is anticipated to be a year with many challenges. We believe that challenges can become opportunities if we have the right strategy. With support of strong fundamentals, we remain optimistic that ZSV as a company, and Vietnam as a country, are well-positioned to successfully sail through the current economic storm and continue to grow progressively.” Mr. George said. |
