Hanoi 16 April 2009, for the third consecutive year, Zamil Steel Vietnam was again ranked among the top prestigious exporters of steel products in Vietnam for 2008, selected and announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.
Zamil Steel Vietnam, a subsidary of one of Saudi Arabia’s largest conglomerates, commissioned its first Vietnam manufacturing facility in 1999. Since then, the factory in Hanoi has been exporting steel buildings across the Asia Pacific countries such as Australia, Japan, Mongolia and all of the Southeast Asia nations. To date, more than 5,000 steel buildings had been supplied and successfully erected. In 2006, Zamil Steel Vietnam invested additional USD 20 million setting up its second manufacturing facility in Vietnam, generating employment for over 1000 Vietnamese and other economic benefits to Hanoi and Dong Nai areas.
 At full production, both manufacturing plants have a combined prodcution capacity of 100,000 metric ton of steel structures a year; about half serves the export regions. In 2007 and 2008, Zamil Steel exported nearly 50,000 metric tons of steel out of Vietnam which is eqivalent to 2,000,000 sq. meters of steel buildings with an approximate value of 60 million USD.

These achievements have to be accredited to all management and staff of Zamil Steel Vietnam,” said Mr. George Kobrossy, General Director of Zamil Steel Vietnam. “With additional capacity to engineer and manufacture Structural Steel and Open Web Steel Joists products on top of our strong Pre-Engineered Buildings expertise, we anticipate continual growth in of our export volume”.
