Hanoi, Opera House, 24 January 2010, Zamil Steel Vietnam was one again selected as one of 80 most prominent Foreign Invested Enterprises to be awarded the Golden Dragon Award 2009, in category of “Best Product”. His Excellency Former Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cam and Her Excellency Former Vice President of Vietnam, Mrs. Truong My Hoa delivered the Award to the winners.
Pre-engineered steel building of ZSV has been introduced to Vietnam in 1993 and registered the trademark in Vietnam since 2005. The product has been awarded many decent Awards by Vietnam Authorities including Gold Medal for the best product by Ministry of Construction of Vietnam in 2003; Golden Award for prestigious product by Laos National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2005; Competitive Trade Mark by Vietnam Intellectual Property Association in 2006, 2007 and 2008; Gold Medal for the Best product by Ministry of Trade in 2006, 2007.
It is the 7 consecutive years Zamil Steel Vietnam won this Award, which is a result of the final selection meeting of the Judiciary Council with representation from Vietnam Ministry of Planning & Investment, Vietnam Ministry of Industry & Trade, the Vietnam Union of Science & Technology Associations, the Vietnam Economic Association and Vietnam Economic Times. The Award aims at recognizing and honoring the success of foreign invested enterprises (FIEs) in Vietnam and their contribution to the economy.
“The recognition and titles awarded for 2009 once again confirmed the company’s prestige and commitment to quality. After 15 years of operation in Vietnam, Zamil Steel has become an integral part of Vietnamese economy. We are very proud of our achievements and will continue to promote Best-quality-made-in-Vietnam products to the world,” said George Kobrossy, General Director of ZSV.
On the other front, in the list of Vietnam’s 500 Largest Enterprises 2009, Zamil Steel Vietnam has advanced in rank to number 348, up from 381st in 2008. VNR500 which the ranking is measured based on annual turnover is the result of a survey of several thousand leading companies in Vietnam using statistics compiled by relevant agencies and tax and customs departments. Also in December of 2009, ZSV’s pre-engineered steel building is honorably accredited by Hanoi People’s Committee to be the one of the main industrial products of the city. The accreditation is in recognition of ZSV’s considerable contribution to GDP and to the economic development of the city.
