Davao, Philippines, June 19, 2010 – Zamil Steel Vietnam sponsored the 3rd Joint PICE – SEAD Technical Conference which was co-organized by Structural Engineers Association of Davao, INC, and Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PIPE), Davao City Chapter INC.
 The objectives of this conference were to share the findings of structural dynamic principles, which are very important for the analysis of real-world complex structures subjected to dynamic forces such as earthquakes. In the conference demonstration on how advanced structural softwares such as STAADPro can simplify the analysis process was conducted.
Besides being a sponsor, Zamil Steel also introduced its products and services to the conference participants. The presentation was conducted by Mr. Rafael Noble – Senior Sales Manager, Manila Sales Office.
“This event is a good opportunity for Zamil Steel to meet key personnel in the engineering community and Industry. As a steel buildings provider, we are aware of the susceptibility of engineered structures to the dynamic effects of lateral loads especially during an earthquake, since more taller, larger and lighter structure are being designed and constructed today. It is also the reason why we diversify our products with Structural Steel and Open Web Steel Joist, beside Pre-engineered steel buildings”, said Mr. Joel G.Velasco, ZSV’s Country Manager in Philippines.
Davao, with its flourishing agricultural and industrial enterprise, is considered as one of the most promising cities in the Philippines. With its different proposed projects for 2010 and beyond, this would be an ideal area for Zamil Steel to serve and concentrate on, considering that Zamil Steel has been present and active in the country for over 10 years.
