Incorporated since 1977 in Saudi Arabia, Zamil Steel core competencies are in design, manufacturing and supply of top quality Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings.  The continuous in-house development of innovative proprietary technologies and engineering systems over three decades, have made Zamil Steel attained leadership position in this industry. To-date, with manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Egypt, India, and UAE, supported with 64 area offices across the globe, Zamil Steel group has designed, fabricated and supplied over 50,000 buildings to more than 90 countries, from Panama and Mexico in the West to the Philippines, Mongolia, China, Japan and South Korea in the East.

Seeing the robust growth potential of Vietnam and Asia Pacific, Zamil Steel took the early initiatives to move into Vietnam in 1993, operating as a Representative office, introducing Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings manufactured and exported from Saudi Arabia.

Since then, sales of Zamil Steel in Vietnam has enjoyed 4 years of succession growth and recorded sales of over 100,000 MT of steel buildings per year (equivalent to about 60 Steel Buildings per year, making Vietnam the single largest export country for Zamil Steel). By end of 1996, Zamil Steel’s Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings can be seen in most major provinces of Vietnam.

To serve the increasing demands of the Vietnamese and Asia Pacific markets, in 1997 Zamil Steel established its first manufacturing factory in Vietnam under a 100 per cent Foreign Invested Enterprise, Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam Co. Ltd. (hereinafter refer as ZSV). This establishment is a joint venture between Zamil Steel Industries (with 90% share holding) and Japanese trading giant Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

The first manufacturing factory of ZSV is located in the Noi Bai Industrial Zone Hanoi. It is equipped with the state-of-the-art machineries and has the capacity to produce 5000 metric tons of pre-engineered steel buildings per month. This production capacity, enhanced by high-tech engineering and production processes, enables ZSV to enjoy continuous growth in the business.

By 2005, the factory production has reached it maximum capacity. In order to congregate rapid growing demand for high quality pre-engineered steel building in this region and coincide with the company’s strategy in making the southern Vietnam market the new focus, ZSV planned for construction of second manufacturing factory in Dong Nai province in 2008.

The plan was very soon put into action. ZSV officially inaugurated its second manufacturing factory in Dong Nai in April 2008. The new factory boasts a production capacity of 4,500 metric tons a month of pre-engineered buildings, which increases the total production of ZSV to 100,000 metric tons of steel building per annum. The new facility also have the capabilities to fabricate two new product lines, i.e. Structural Steel and Open Web Steel Joists, providing a wider range of steel building solutions and product options to satisfy ZSV customers, both domestic and export markets. This new factory is a vital addition to the international network of manufacturing facilities of Zamil Steel Group.

New factory has not been the only means of ZSV corporate expansion. 19  area sales offices and liaison centers located in South East Asia countries and in Australia and Shanghai under the umbrella of ZSV have been established and from a solid network of sales and after sales service.
