Chinese Chess Competition – 2009
 
Atmosphere was intense from 10 February to 26 February 2009, at Zamil Steel Vietnam Hanoi, Chinese Chess Competition. This event was organized by Company Trade Union with the Patronage of General Director in hope to promote healthy competitive sprit among the players as well as the audiences.
 
The competition had attracted 56 competitors to pit their chess skill against each other. Players are divided in to 6 rounds of plays, ruling out the defeated players at every round.
 
After the multiple stressful and fair played matches, this showcase of chess talent drew to a close with final results being:
 
- Champion: Mr. Doan Hong Ly Thanh Hoa - Detailing & Checking Department
- First Runner-up: Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - PMC Department
- Second Runner-up:
Mr. Vuong Manh Tuong; Mr. Ho Ngoc Oanh - Production Department
