| Zamil Steel Vietnam presents at workshop on applications of light gauge Steel Structure in building construction in Singapore |
Singapore, 8 May, 2009 - Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV) was invited to Singapore to deliver a presentation at a workshop on Applications of Light Gauge Steel Structure in Building Construction.
 Organized by The Singapore Structural Steel Society, this half day workshop highlighted issues such as, how to integrate the design and manufacturing process for light steel framing, available applications, design, manufacturing, assembly, and case studies.As guest speaker, Mr. Dean Borg, General Manager of Sales & Marketing for Zamil Steel Joist Department, delivered a very informative and successful presentation on “Hambro® Composite Steel Joists as Sustainable Floor Solutions”. Mr Borg’s presentation focused on practical applications of this patented floor system, and the many benefits in terms of versatility, cost savings and greatly reducing the average construction schedule of a project. More than 200 participants attended from Singapore and the region, including design consultants, architects, developers, students, manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, importers and builders.
Zamil Steel Vietnam’s new production line for Open Web Steel Joists is located in the 2nd Vietnam factory in Dong Nai, bringing North American technology to SE Asia in the form of lightweight and economical joist solutions for roof and floor systems. |
