1. Manyar Smelter: Precision at a Global Scale

Located within the Java Integrated Industrial Estate (JIIPE) in East Java, the Manyar Smelter is poised to become the largest copper processing site in the world. Zamil Steel has been entrusted with the fabrication and supply of nearly 2,500 MT of steel structures for seven key buildings within the complex.

Technical Highlights:

  • High-Endurance Coating: Given the industrial environment, the project required an advanced three-layer painting system. We applied a combination of epoxy, zinc, and a polyurethane top coat to ensure maximum corrosion resistance and longevity.
  • Strict Fabrication Standards: The project demanded exceptionally high standards for welding and fabrication precision, adhering to the rigorous safety and quality standards necessary for a world-class smelting facility.
  • Operational Capacity: Once operational, this facility will process 2 million tons of copper concentrate annually, and our structural solutions will serve as the backbone of this massive industrial undertaking.

 

2. Coal Shed Pangkalan Kerinci: A New Record for Clear Span Design

The Coal Shed project in Pangkalan Kerinci marks a significant engineering achievement for Zamil Steel. This project showcases the longest clear span ever designed by our team, highlighting our capability to tackle complex spatial challenges.

Technical Highlights:

  • 130-Meter Clear Span: By using an advanced arch steel truss structure and hollow sections, we accomplished a 130-meter clear span, resulting in a spacious, unobstructed interior.
  • Scale and Elevation: The project covers an area of 24,050 square meters, extending 185 meters in length. The structure stands at an elevation of 40.2 meters, measured from the center of the support ball to the top of the space frame.
  • Innovative Geometry: The incorporation of space frame and support ball joints ensures high structural integrity, despite the considerable width and height of the shed.
